Mubarak revived after cardiac arrest, spokesman says

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has been revived after his heart stopped while in custody, a prosecutor's spokesman told CNN Tuesday.

"We were informed by prison authority that Mubarak's heart has stopped, and they used electric shocks and CPR to resurrect him," Adel Saeed, the prosecutor's spokesman, said.
Mubarak, 84, was sentenced to life in prison June 2 for the killing of pro-democracy demonstrators last year. He already was suffering from health problems and attended court on a gurney.
Mubarak is now on a respirator, and he might be moved to a military hospital Tuesday night, Saeed said.
