Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola has advocated for the overhaul  of the judiciary for effective and quality justice delivery and noted that there would not be civilization if there was no justice in the land.
Speaking yesterday at a one -day Stakeholders  Forum  on Legal and Judiciary Sector Reform in the State  organised by the Ministry of Regional Integration and Special Duties, held at the State High Court  Auditorium,Osogbo, governor Aregbesola stressed that the judiciary  that guarantees the liberty and justice for the hopeless people of the society should not be left in the hands of  compromised administrators.
The governor further advocated for the training and re-training of all the workers engaged in the judiciary  with a view to improving their capacity in delivery  justice without fear or favour. He added that the present administration in the state had approved capacity building workshops and seminars from time to time for all categories of workers in the judiciary in the state.
His words:”The last decade has witnessed an increased emphasis on legal and judicial reform in various jurisdictions in the world. Such emphasis grew out of a realisation that, in order to achieve
sustainable  development, the development process must be comprehensive and that legal and judicial reforms are critical components of that process.
